Carlsbad Caverns National Park is an underground wonderland located in south central New Mexico. Above ground the park looks like much of southern New Mexico but, as Will Rogers described it, below ground is a "Grand Canyon with a roof on it." Its chambers, formations, and special creatures as well as its man-made wonders of trails, rooms, and elevator for easy entry, await you below.
