Seventy miles off the west coast of Key West, Florida, lies Dry Tortugas National Park and historic Fort Jefferson. This cluster of seven islands composed of coral reefs and sand is home to a great number of sea birds and animals, as well as sea legends. Fort Jefferson, a structure first built to provide protection for US shipping lanes is the largest brick structure in the western hemisphere and the prison where the Lincoln assassination conspirators were sent.

Visit the Dry Tortugas National Park Forum to ask questions about the park.
