Perhaps
Arizona's Grand Canyon National Park and its immense canyon, a
mile deep and eighteen miles wide, is the most famous of all National
Parks. This natural phenomenon is the product of thousands of years
of the mighty Colorado River cutting its way through the earth,
exposing many layers of the earth's crust. The parks three life
zones support a wide variety of plants and animals. As your eye
wanders you can see only a fraction of this extraordinary canyon
and its overpowering impact at any given time or from any given
spot.
Visit the Grand
Canyon National Park Forum to ask questions about the park.
