The largest island in the largest lake in the United States is found on Lake Superior, Michigan, and comprises most of the land mass of the park. This predominantly wilderness park is accessible only by boat or float-plane and contains wildlife, including moose and wolves, pristine forests, and innumerable small lakes. The park's dominant features are water and wilderness.

Visit the Isle Royal National Park Forum to ask questions about the park.
