Washington's Mount Rainier is a 14,122 ft. high volcano, born of fire and ice, which stands high above the surrounding forest. It has deposited nutrient-rich ash and pumice in the soil which supports an endless abundance of beautifully colored wild flowers and rich new and old growth forests nestled at the base of its mighty glaciers.

Visit the Mount Rainier National Park Forum to ask questions  about the park.
