This is the only US National Park which the federal government does not own; it leases the land from the government of American Samoa representing the villages of the park, for 50 years. The Park acreage is spread out over three rugged, densely vegetated volcanic islands and includes 1,000 acres underwater. The marine portion of the park on Ofu contains one of the finest coral reefs in the South Pacific.

Visit the National Park of American Somoa Forum to ask questions about the park.
